Water proof and wind proof the Ridgeline Mens Monsoon Classic Jacket is designed for long, hard days in relentlessly wet weather.  Water and wind proof, with a completely silent brushed polyester outer layer, this superb jacket offers protection, durability and comfort.  The Scooped fishtail back extends far down, perfect for when you need to sit in heavy rain.

A full length zip runs the length of the jacket protected by a storm flap for ultimate protection.  Two large external hand pockets as well as a large external chest pocket provide plenty of storage.  All the zips feature easy grab puller’s, designed to easily open and close with cold fingers or whilst wearing gloves.

Fixed and adjustable hood, wired for rigidity and large enough to be worn over a cap if desired.  For fit and comfort the hem is adjustable thanks to it’s draw cord, sealing in the warmth when necessary or leaving looser for more airflow.  The cuffs are large enough to be rolled back in warmer weather but also feature velcro adjustments to seal in the warmth when it’s cold.

The Ridgeline Mens Monsoon Classic Jacket or the Ridgeline Mens Torrent III Jacket?

Both jackets are superb outdoor wet weather with many of the same features.  So which one is right for you?  Both jackets are similarly constructed, water and wind proof, built for outdoor working with a brushed polyester outer that makes them near silent to work and move in.  Both are hard wearing and both are superb at dealing with the unpredictable British weather.

The differences are in the details.  The Ridgeline Mens Monsoon Classic Jacket features a fish backed tail, ideal for when you need to sit down in the rain or when going through woodland terrain and require additional lower protection.  The Torrent has a more traditional straighter cut on the back.

In terms of pockets the monsoon features hand warmer style pockets which while roomy do not compete with the storage space offered by the Torrent.  The Torrent has two large handwarmer pockets at the chest as opposed to the Monsoon’s single chest pocket.  It also features Bellow pockets with lots of room as well as two internal zipped security pockets.
